Ken Arnold Herec
I was born in Southern New Jersey(USA) and raised in Atco, NJ. I attended Edgewood Regional Senior High(Winslow) Class of 1987 and lettered in football, basketball, and baseball.
After attending Wagner College(NYC), I had a nine year professional baseball career playing in the
Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers organizations. During my playing days
I was a five time all-star and won a gold glove.
One of my first acting jobs was on the Baltimore based television classic, Homicide. It was just extra work, but I loved the craft and the business and I started to branch out.
I started attending auditions in New York and even went to LA to see what it was all
about. Since my early days I have gone on to have principal roles in some classic television
shows like The Wire, Law and Order and House of Cards. I have also been in
some major motion pictures, one being, Men in Black 3, where I portrayed legendary
astronaut, Buzz Aldrin. I have been in hundreds of productions over the years
including theater, television, films, commercials and many more.
He has produced, written and directed award winning indie films. Two of which, The
Night Watchmen and A Comedy of Horrors Volume 1, have won multiple awards and
have been distributed world wide. My current project that I am producing, A Town
Called Purgatory, is on the fest circuit now and has already garnered two awards. Principal photography occurred in Vienna, Austria early in 2021 and is schedule for a world-wide release later this year.
One of my latest acting role is in a new series on HBO, We Own This City, where I
team up again with the creators of The Wire. A member of the Screen Actors Guild
since 2001, I live in Annapolis, MD with my wife Maria and our five children. I
coach football and baseball, am a huge Philadelphia sports fan, and I love to fish.
