Leonie Wesselow Herečka
Leonie Wesselow took her first professional steps at the Hamburg State Opera at the age of twelve, later as a teenager at the Thalia Theater.
Early on, the stage became less a place of play for her than something entirely natural. Still in her final year of school, she landed her first leading role in a feature film Back for Good, directed by Mia Spengler — a film that went on to receive, among other awards, the Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis and the FIPRESCI Prize.
Afterwards she has appeared in several TV series and Movies and has moved effortlessly between formats and tones: four seasons of the Netflix series How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast), an international co-production in Chile filmed at the original Colonia Dignidad which premiered at Tallin Black Nights Filmfestival 2021, as well as cinema productions, Tatort productions, television crime drama, sitcom — and next, international horror „Don´t kill Loretta“ written and directed by Oliver Kienle. She´s build a body of work with over 30 credits on screen. Leonie always prepared herself for the opportunity to work internationally. At thirteen, she attended a workshop in Los Angeles at Steinlein Productions, and most recently spent a summer studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York.
