Wes Mutsaars
Wes Mutsaars is a Dutch professional film and TV actor, former Marine Corporal, and role-playing actor. He is known for his lead role in Dutch drama series “Het Imperium”, as well as for his work in the soap TV-series “Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden”, among many others. He won the ‘Best Actor’ award at 48 Hour film festival for his lead role in the 2013 short movie, “Geleden”, and starred in the 2019 action-sci-fi film “Kill Mode”. In 2020, Wes racked up another leading role in the movie “De Grote Sinterklaas Film” scheduled for release on October 6th, 2020 in theater.
Born and raised in the city of Dordrecht, in West Netherlands, Wes was yearning to be an actor from a tender age, however upon graduating high school, he joined The Royal Netherlands Marine Corps. Gaining a wealth of experience while serving multiple roles, Wes worked in-part as a drill instructor and attained the rank of Corporal at the end of his 10-year tenure. After leaving the marines, he shifted his focus towards becoming a professional actor and propelled his career to the next level. Amassing an impressive resume over the years, Wes infused his combat, weapons handling and military training into varying on-screen roles in film, TV and commercials.
Advancing his outstanding abilities to take on any character, he studied at De Trap and enrolled into various acting masterclasses for film and TV under renowned teachers like Willeke van Ammelrooy and Karim Traidïa, and has been mastering the Chubbuck technique under esteemed acting coach, Romy Irene, since 2019. Further embellishing his career, Wes displays aggression and interrogation training, in addition to verbal and physical training as a role-playing actor for the Ministry of Defence of the Netherlands, Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) and the police. Driven and focused, Wes Mutsaars continues to climb the ladder of success.
